Police today released images from CCTV in connection with a sexual assault in Bicester.

At about 8.45pm, on Saturday, November 27, a woman in her twenties, was assaulted in the car park of Bicester Community Hospital in Kings End.

Det Sgt Craig Kirby said: “We are asking for the public’s help in identifying a car and a man that were captured on camera in Bicester on the evening of the incident.

“At 7.26pm, a man was seen walking behind the victim down Sheep Street in the town centre. We would like to speak to this person to rule him out of our enquiries.

“The second image is of a car driving past the Health Centre in Coker Close shortly after the incident.

“The investigation into the sexual assault continues and I have a team of detectives working on the case to identify the person responsible.

"We continue to carry out house to-house enquiries and have delivered flyers asking people with information to come forward.

“I appeal to anyone who was walking or driving into, or from the car park area of the Bicester Community Hospital on the evening of the offence to come forward.

“The victim believes a car may have disturbed the offender so we are keen to trace the person who was driving that car as they may hold vital information.

“This type of incident is extremely rare in Bicester but I would like to remind women to take extra care if walking alone at night.”

Anyone with information about the incident that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Bicester CID via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
