THERE is no greater honour for a local newspaperman than for the people you have dealt with to keep on wanting to deal with you.
Jim Griffiths, who served this newspaper for 30 years, died recently.
Over the course of his career he was a favourite of Elizabeth Taylor of Richard Burton, while Princess Anne asked for him by name when she was here — proof if any was needed of how well he approached his job.
He was also responsible for the iconic image of Roger Bannister breaking the four-minute mile mark.
Jim will be sadly missed.
