MOTORISTS are being warned of road closures in Headington as part of Oxfordshire County Council’s improvement works to help cyclists and pedestrians.

The junction at Lime Walk and All Saints Road was closed on Tuesday for 10 days.

The Dene Road and Cinnaminta Road junctions with The Slade will be closed today while the Three Fields Road junction with The Slade will be closed for one day from tomorrow.

Work at the Latimer Road junction with All Saints Road will start on Monday, November 28, for five days.

Dates for the other Highfield area roadworks have yet to be confirmed but closures of side roads will be announced on site and by letter to those directly affected. The roadworks began last month and will cost a total of £450,000.

They form part of the county council’s New Headington Transport Improvements scheme which it hopes will encourage people to stop using their cars by making conditions better for cyclists and pedestrians.
