ON YOUR marks, get set, go!
Youngsters at Abingdon Kindergarten took part in a unique race to raise money for Children in Need yesterday.
Toddlers were sponsored to make their way around a track on tricycles in what was dubbed a kindercycle.
The younger children “waddled” their way around the track with the help of the staff.
Staff member Rachel Mackiner said: “Some of them were a bit tired so some of the staff carried them around or pushed them on their tricycles.
“They had a lovely time and were all really proud of themselves.”
As well as the race the children also made Pudsey hats and had their faces painted.
Two-year-old Isla Inglis said: “I had a nice day. I had some spots on my face and made some brown cakes which were yummy.”
A kindercycle was held at each of Abingdon Kindergarten’s four sites in Loyd Close and Oxford Road, Abingdon, and in Wallingford and Cothill
