SCHOOLCHILDREN in Didcot put their dancing shoes on to raise money for Children in Need.
The Manor Primary School held their own edition of Strictly Come Dancing yesterday with children attempting to impress their teachers with their moves.
More than 400 youngsters took part and they were all allowed to ditch their school uniform and wear their finest dancing outfits.
Eight-year-old Emily Down opted for a white tu-tu. She said: “I really enjoyed it. Yesterday was much better than a normal school day.
“We were doing all sorts of dancing and the teachers were all really fun. At the end they all did a song together.”
Each year group competed against each other and were judged by a panel of teachers impersonating the Strictly judges with headteacher John Hawkins as Bruce Forsyth. Afterwards they had a big dance together in the playground.
