TRAIN passengers in Oxfordshire were faced with lengthy delays over the weekend as two trains broke down north of Oxford.
On Saturday a train broke down at Heyford at around 8am. Passengers had to use a replacement bus service.
First Great Western and Virgin CrossCountry services between Oxford and Banbury were also affected.
Another broken-down train yesterday caused disruption for services heading to and from Birmingham for about three hours.
The Network Rail engineering train came to a halt between Oxford and Banbury at around 2pm.
Services had returned to normal by 5pm.
