A 24-year-old man from Littlemore was arrested early today on suspicion ofcausing grievous bodily harm over the stabbing of a 22-year-old man in East Oxford.
The victim was attacked at about 1am on Sunday and after being chased along Cowley Road was found bleeding by friends in Temple Street.
Today detectives said that the man, who received surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital for multiple arm and stomach wounds, is now in a stable condition.
Police officers are still looking for other suspects and are appealing for witnesses in the Cowley Road area to come forward.
