Violet Bungay enjoyed a close-up of country life as young farmers showed off stock ahead of their annual country show.
The three-year-old from Sutton met Perky the Oxford Down ram as Witney Young Farmers held a Guess the Weight of the Sheep contest.
The competition was one of a number of activities staged in Witney town centre on Thursday to promote the Oxfordshire Young Farmers’ County Show and Rally on Sunday, June 3, in Ducklington.
Violet’s mother Nadine Cox, 25, said that her daughter had enjoyed the chance to meet and feed Perky.
She said: “She was very enthusiastic.
“It was her twin sister Victoria who didn’t like it at all.
“We will definitely be going to the show.
“I’m hoping there will be lots of things for the children to see and do.”
