Bee Gee Robin Gibb wasn’t just a worldwide pop icon – he was a neighbour and friend to many in Thame.
The 62-year-old, who had lived in the town with his wife Dwina since 1983, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday.
But the huge outpouring of grief and tributes from local people, as well the music world’s great and good, prove what a truly great legacy Robin Gibb leaves behind. As one local said: “He was the gentlest and nicest man you’d ever meet...”
A brilliant musician and performer then, but also a much-loved and respected human being.
