A SERIAL flasher has been sent to prison for drunken exposure and a public-order offence.

Stuart Thorne, of Coleridge Close, Cowley, received his sentence at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

The 50-year-old had earlier admitted charges of exposure, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and breaching a sexual offences prevention order.

He was given the order in 1997 for indecent exposure and was jailed for a month in December last year for breaching it after police found him drunk in the city centre.

In August 2002, Thorne was jailed for 14 months after admitting a charge of indecent exposure following an incident at the Odeon cinema in George Street, Oxford.

He has got more than 80 offences to his name, dating back to 1979.

Thorne’s latest offences took place on March 27, when he exposed himself in Oxford and verbally abused a member of the public.

He also breached the prevention order by being drunk in a public place.

Judge Patrick Eccles jailed Thorne for a total of 12 months for his most recent offences.

Thorne is already on the Sex Offenders’ Register.

The sexual offences prevention order remains in force.
