THE man charged with the murder of a "devoted" grandmother from Oxford was remanded in custody today.
Stewart Dale, 27, is accused of killing Jenny Hume, 55, in a caravan at Prospect Park, Horspath, where he lived.
He appeared at Oxford Crown Court for a preliminary hearing this morning.
A post mortem found Ms Hume, a divorcee from Hamel Walk, off Paradise Street in the centre of Oxford, died from a blow to the head. She also suffered stab wounds in the attack.
Dale will appear again at the crown court to enter a plea to the murder charge on August 3.
