Children at Our Lady’s Abingdon have spent six months working on a project to follow an Antarctica expedition in real time.
All areas of the curriculum at the independent school were involved in tracing the steps of Captain Robert Falcon Scott, with actual snow provided by a snow machine and weekly readings from Scott’s diaries from 100 years ago.
They also received a visit from modern-day explorer Mark Langridge, who took part in the Scott Amundsen Race earlier this year.
