STILL in court, there was also the sentencing of Hugh “Andy” Anderson, who was given a suspended sentence for the violent attack on a customer at his Hi-Lo Jamaican Eating House.
Some will be shocked at the Recorder’s decision to show leniency.
Yet courts are there to reflect the will of the community and Anderson certainly had enough friends prepared to vouch for him and persuade the Recorder society was better served with him out of jail rather than within.
