How long have I been saying that the European Union is a lame duck and has been since day one?

Now we have all these problems.

Chancellor George Osborne has given £40bn to the International Monetary Fund and now, it seems, if Greece is forced to quit the euro, then Britain could get another £230bn bill and then what?

Spain, it seems could be the next casualty, and how much would that cost Britain?

It’s about time Prime Minister David Cameron listened to his backbenchers and gave the people of this country a referendum on EU membership, because this is the only way to stop billions of pounds going out of the country.

The borders can now be closed to prevent any more foreigners entering an already over-populated Britain.

And why do most want to come here?

Let’s be honest. This is about the only country where you can get something for nothing.

Thousands wouldn’t have come here but for that.

But you can only blame the so-called politicians for that state of affairs: they are supposed to have the brains, but I am starting to wonder.
