ONE lucky nine-year-old got the chance of a lifetime this week as she helped make her own cupcakes that will be sold across the country.
Kizzy McDonald won a competition to design a cupcake for the Fabulous Bakin’ Boys, based in Witney.
Her banana, tangy orange and mango sponge with pineapple topping, which beat competition from hundreds of children, will now be sold nationally.
Last night, the youngster, from Market Drayton in Shropshire, said: “The tour was really fun and very interesting, I got very involved.
“I really like fruit and fruit salad so I thought combinations of fruit would be a good idea for a cupcake.”
Kizzy was the first member of the public ever to be allowed in the development department at the company’s bakery, which produces 65,000 cakes an hour.
She said: “It was a lot more complex than I thought it would be, there were lots of machines. I tried some of my cupcakes too. They were very good.”
