IT WAS time for a break for these hard-working club officials.
They formed the committee which ran the Labour club at Drayton, near Abingdon.
And once a year, they would be rewarded for their efforts with an outing. When this picture was taken in the 1960s, they were enjoying a day out in London, sightseeing and dining at the Cavendish Rooms.
The picture comes from Bert Dowler, of Bodicote Road, Banbury, who was invited to join the party – he was a regular visitor to the club as retail trade representative of the Hunt Edmunds brewery at Banbury.
Can anyone name any of the day trippers?
