The start of the new Great Western rail franchise next year will be delayed by three months, the Government announced.
The Department for Transport confirmed the delay as it revealed the service specification the next operator of many of Oxfordshire’s rail links will have to meet.
The delay is thought to be linked to the number of rail franchise renewals being handled by the DfT, with five due to be decided in the next 12 months.
