PEOPLE in Oxfordshire are finding it increasingly difficult to find an NHS dentist, a new report by Healthwatch Oxfordshire has revealed.
The independent health and care watchdog found that in some areas of the county, notably Bicester, Wantage, Faringdon and Abingdon, people are worried that the number of NHS dentists was not keeping up with housing expansion.
The report, ‘Filling the Gaps' was published yesterday.
Executive director at Healthwatch Oxfordshire, Rosalind Pearce, said: “We will now bring the decision-makers such as NHS England Commissioning and Public Health Oxfordshire together to discuss these issues.
"We want those organisations to hear what we have learned, and to come up with a plan to make services better."
