A goal in the dying seconds of extra time from Nathan Radbone saw Division 1 West outfit Clanfield stun their Premier Division opponents with a 1-0 win in the preliminary round of the Linaker Insurance Brokers Cup on Saturday.

Neil Barrett should have put Clanfield in front when he was put through one-on-one with keeper Mark Harris.

On the stroke of half-time, Chippy were awarded a penalty, but Tim Jenkins's spot-kick hit the bar.

Steve Knight also rattled the woodwork for Chippy.

Extra-time saw Clanfield showing the better fitness, and with a penalty shoot-out looming, Radbone struck to send the home side through.

Thame United won 3-1 at derby rivals Chinnor in a derby clash which saw the hosts finish with nine men.

The home side took the lead on ten minutes when Gary Marshall's shot caught Thame keeper Paul Searl out of position.

Thame levelled when Nathan Jack's unstoppable effort flew in, then on 33 minutes, good passing between Jordan Weaver and Jack saw the latter score.

Thame made it 3-1 in the 36th minute when Marc Bell powerfully met a Joe Da Silva corner.

The second half saw plenty of action, but no addition to the score, although a fracas saw former Thame player Richard Carr sent off.

He was followed five minutes later by Marshall for a second booking.

A Robbie Wyatt treble helped Witney United to a 3-2 victory at Malmesbury Vics.

They took the lead on 26 minutes when Tom Price took too long to clear the ball from defence and Wyatt curled home.

They stretched the lead when a long throw by Christian Perkins was flicked on by John McMahon, and Wyatt headed in.

Eight minutes into the second half, Wyatt completed his treble, but the home side hit back, with James Weston reducing the arrears.

The same player then capitalised on a poor defensive header by Mark McMeeking to score again, and then then had a glorious chance to level and complete his hat-trick, but he dragged his shot wide.

Witney were thankful to keeper Paul Tassell, who twice kept his side in front with stunning saves.

Hook Norton let a two-goal lead slip as they went down 4-2 at Premier Division hosts Shrivenham.

Hooky deservedly took the lead three minutes before the break when Ryan Breslin's left-wing corner found Lee Harris, who fired home.

In the second half, they were gifted a second goal when Shrivenham keeper Daryl Simms fouled Pete Moulder in the box, and Robbie Canaway slotted home the penalty.

But a mad spell of four goals in 20 minutes let Shrivenham off the hook.

Dave Toomey reduced the arrears, then two goals from Tate Hulbert and a speculative strike from Terry Bohane saw Shrivenham to victory.

Carterton went down to a 2-1 defeat at Premier Division leaders Almondsbury.

The visitors took the lead when Coves chipped the advancing Gareth Evans.

The second half saw Carterton attacking at every opportunity, and they grabbed a deserved equaliser on 70 minutes when Danny King blasted home.

Carterton were then hit on the break, as Ingram slipped in between two defenders to fire home.

Milton United bowed out at the first hurdle at they lost 3-2 at home to Shortwood United.

They were denied a penalty early on when Rich Wilson appeared to be pulled back by a Shortwood defender, before the visitors opened the scoring on 32 minutes when Ryan Preddy fired home.

Milton drew level when Vince Rusher scored on the hour, but Chris Davis restored Shortwood's lead ten minutes later.

Davis added his second and Shortwood's third with a spectacular scissor-kick, but Milton quickly hit back when Matty Whitehead produced a terrific 30-yard effort which flew into the top corner.

Milton threw all they had at Shortwood in the dying minutes, Alex Horsman's shot skimming the bar, but the visitors held on.

Wantage edged through 4-3 against an impressive Badshot outfit.

Paul Day put Wantage in front, then Adam Giles headed home No 2.

Giles added his second to make it 3-0, and Wantage were in control.

The second half saw Badshot hit back with two goals, before Giles completed his hat-trick to make it 4-2.

Badshot reduced the arrears again, but Wantage stood firm.

Goalkeeper Jeff Simmonds made two penalty saves as Bicester squeezed through in a shoot-out against Kidlington.

The home side went closest with a a succession of corners, while in extra-time, Lee Henderson broke clear, but the Kidlington keeper, Chris Waine, was equal to his shot.

Simmonds saved two of Kidlington's spot-kicks, before Bicester skipper Jody McKay fired home the winning penalty.

Defensive errors cost Headington as they fell to a 4-2 defeat against Wootton Bassett.

Jason Maciak and a Matty Crook penalty proved little consolation.

Striker Ricky Johnson scored his third hat-trick of the season as Easington cruised through agaunst Letcombe, Adam Daley chipping in with a brace.
