CHINNOR shipped 50 points for the third time this season as they lost 52-7 at high-flying Lydney in National 3 South.

They only trailed 14-7 midway through the first half after fly half Richard Williams converted a try from full back Ben Hewitt.

But Lydney ran riot in the second half to keep their title challenge on track with a seven-try salvo.

Winger Tom Jarvis ran in a hat-trick, while Craig Jones, Will Jones, Andy MacRae and Brett Scriven also crossed.

Fly half Rory Teague, son of ex-England international Mike, kicked seven conversions and a penalty.

Chinnor now turn their attention to Saturday's must-win home game against second-from-bottom Rosslyn Park.
