Rover Oxford continued their unbeaten run with an impressive 9-2 victory over Mill Hill in the Southern League MBB&O Regional League - Richard Beer (pictured) leading the way with a four-timer.

They started brightly and never looked back after scoring two early goals.

Beer was the star of the show, but Duncan Buckmaster scored the pick of the bunch, converting a well-worked short corner routine.

Mill Hill threatened Rover's dominance at times with two converted short corners, and Rover further invited pressure from the opposition when defender and captain Dave Hewstone was sent off.

However, they weathered the storm, with Matthew Fisher slotting into the back line well.

Rover put the game beyond the reach of the visitors early in the second half.

Goals from Daniel Smyth (2), Dan Pilbeam and Toby Langdon helped to complete the rout.

Abingdon are still searching for their first victory of the season after they went down 3-0 at home to Marlow.

Pat Lymath scored the only goal of the first half for Marlow after 15 minutes with a shot on the turn from six yards following a cross from the right wing.

They extended their lead just after half-time, when Greg Parker, standing just in front of Tony Edwards in the Abingdon goal, diverted the ball home.

With Abingdon looking for a way back into the match, Marlow hit No 3 late on through James Catlin.
