HENLEY Hawks’ director of rugby Mike Poulson was full of praise for the travelling fans, who roared them on to a crucial victory at Hartpury College.
Hawks estimated around 100 supporters made the trip to the Gloucestershire side for the titantic clash.
Poulson said: “I thank everyone who came to Hartpury.
“Everyone in the squad was blown away by the amazing support.
“It was like a home game and it definitely played a part in the success.
“We are hoping for another big crowd at Dry Leas next Saturday for the game against Dings Crusaders – a side who defeated us on their home ground before Christmas, as they did last season.”
