Jamie Heapy’s 800th appearance for Didcot Town ended in disappointment with a 1-0 defeat at Mangotsfield United in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West last night.
Didcot were forced into a number of injury-induced changes, which included veteran striker Ian Concannon playing up front.
The winner came on 26 minutes when Mangotsfield broke away and Liam Monelle rifled home from 15 yards.
Didcot’s Alex Stanley was sent off after clashing with Monelle in the second half, but they almost grabbed a late equaliser through Morgan Williams.
