Banbury United led twice in last night’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division game against Cambridge City but had to settle for a share of the spoils after a 2-2 draw.
Ben Polk put them ahead from 25 yards after 27 minutes, but Danny Blanchett levelled in the second half.
Albi Skendi made it 2-1 on 78 minutes, only for Adam Marrriott to net the equaliser four minutes from time.
Depleted Abingdon United, with manager Richie Bourne in their line-up, lost 3-0 at Bridgwater in Division 1 South & West.
Arriving late after a motorway hold-up, they were caught cold and went behind after only three minutes, but managed to keep it to 1-0 by the interval.
However, second-half goals from Steve Fitzpatrick and Craig Veal completed their unhappy night.
