OXFORDSHIRE Under 18s secured their highest finish for 26 years in the prestigious four-day Inter-County Championships at Nottingham University.
After two wins out of three on the opening day, Oxon progressed to the top half of the draw.
However, they then lost all three matches on the next day to put them in the battle for minor honours.
Although they lost to Leicestershire in their final match, the winning draws secured against Berkshire and Nottinghamshire the previous day saw them secure 14th place.
