MALCOLM Rose set a personal best in the first race of the time trial season in Burford.
The Oxonian rider finished second in 22mins 20secs, six seconds faster than his previous best, behind Oxford City’s Mark Jones, who won in 21.53.
Two Oxonian ladies, Lydia Dant and Jim Line finished joint first with times of 29.39.

Men: 1 M Jones (Oxford City) 21.53, 2 M Rose (Oxonian) 22.20, 3 R Yeatman (DC) 22.22.
Ladies: 1 L Dant & J Line (both Oxonian) 29.39, 3 I Anson (Oxonian) 32.19.
