OXFORD & District performed superbly to finish runners-up on their debut in the Harman Cup Inter-League competition at Racks, Maidenhead.
The Oxford side won through the the last four by coming second to Thames Valley A in Group B, beating Harrow 5-3 and drawing 4-4 with Milton Keynes A.
In the semi-finals, they whitewashed Thames Valley B 5-0 to earn a place against Byfleet in the final.
After sharing the first four frames of the decider thanks to wins from Ross Barker and Karl Walker, Oxford succumbed 5-2 to the Surrey side.
l NEIL Craycraft produced the top break in the Gentworks Oxford & District Snooker League season.
His 60 helped Abingdon Conservative A beat Eynsham A 5-1 in Premier & Division 1.
John Ayres had a break of 51 as Eynsham B drew 3-3 with J’s Sports Bar C in Division 3.
