GEORGE Sandbach scored a magnificent century and then took three wickets to help Oxford Downs into the last 16 of the Cricketer National Village Cup with a 30-run win over Gwent champions Miskin Manor at Standlake.
Sandbach struck a superb 109, and shared useful partnerships with Amin Rafiq and James Lauder to help Downs to 228-7.
Frankie Crouch added some late order blows with an unbeaten 35.
Seamer Tom Costley took 2-21 while part-time spinner Sandbach claimed 3-25 as the Welsh side replied with 198-9
Downs now travel to Liphook & Ripsley, the Hampshire side, in the last 16 in two weeks’ time.
