CAMERON Brannagan’s return date for Oxford United will be determined by how the midfielder fares in tests over the next few days.
The 22-year-old was stretchered off in the goalless draw at Wycombe Wanderers a week ago following a collision which saw him land on his head.
He was discharged from hospital on the same day, but the rules are clear with cases of suspected concussion.
After a period of rest, Brannagan returned to the training ground on Thursday to begin the process of proving his recovery.
It means he is due to miss today’s meeting with Walsall, but could be available for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie.
On Thursday, boss Karl Robinson: “Cameron’s in today and now he’s got five days of box-ticking.
“Welfare is the most important aspect.
“He might be a possibility for Man City.”
