KIT Cutter and Freddie Foster maintained Oxford Hawks’ unbeaten start after a thrilling 2-2 draw against Team Bath Buccaneers.

But the newly-promoted side had to do it the hard way after trailing 2-0 in the Men’s National League Conference West clash.

Hawks were given a lifeline four minutes after half-time through Cutter.

And after an outstanding save from goalkeeper George Oyebode, they snatched a point when Foster finished from close range for his first goal for the club.

Oxford hit back from 2-0 down to beat Old Merchant Taylors 3-2 in their MBBO Regional Division 1 clash.

The hosts made a dreadful start and were two goals behind after just seven minutes.

But second-half goals from Jamie Bloomfield, Henry Vallis and Worcester Bowden secured a stunning victory.

Witney came from behind to draw 1-1 at Reading 3rd.

The hosts started well and went ahead early on, but gradually Witney got on top and deservedly levelled through a superb reverse strike from Ryan Fitz-John.

They almost won it when Thom Allinson’s looping shot looked destined for the net, only to hit the crossbar.

Wallingford suffered their first defeat of the season when they were beaten 4-1 at Maidenhead. Matty Leigh scored the visitors’ consolation goal.

In the Investec Women’s League Oxford Hawks went down 2-1 at Barnes in their Conference West clash.

A superb start by the visitors saw them go ahead when Katie Lowe’s shot was saved, but Lex Thomas was on hand to slot home the rebound.

Hawks were made to pay for failing to extend their lead when on top, with the hosts scoring twice in five minutes through Zelda Beverley and Abbie Smith to go ahead.

And despite pushing forward where possible after the break, they could not find an equaliser.

Sunny Wallis scored five goals as Witney put on a dominant display to beat Maidenhead 7-0 in Division 1 of the South Club’s League.

Katie Oliver and Ellie Kearney were also on target in an impressive team performance.

Oxford lost 3-0 at home to Surbiton 3rd in Division 2, despite a superb display from Clare Shaw in defence.

Kerri Lancaster hit a hat-trick as Bicester saw off Oxford 4th 5-0 in Division 4.

Lisa Elliott and Anna Jasper were also on target.
