MARCUS Browne is buzzing to be back in the frame for Oxford United after almost a month on the sidelines.

The West Ham loanee gave a reminder of his ability with a lively display in the 2-0 win against Plymouth Argyle last weekend.

It came after a brief cameo as a substitute in the Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Northampton Town, where he returned after recovering from a knee injury.

Now the 20-year-old is looking to pick up where he left off against the Pilgrims when United visit fellow strugglers Bristol Rovers tomorrow.

“It felt brilliant to get back out there,” he said.

“It’s not easy coming in and watching the boys going out training when you’ve got to stay in the gym and do all your rehab.

“It is quite hard, but I’m through that now and I’m just enjoying myself again back playing and finding my feet.

“Hopefully I can carry on with some good performances.”

Rovers’ Memorial Stadium can be a hostile place for visiting players, but that is music to Browne’s ears.

The forward’s best performance this season came in the 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light last month and he is hoping to replicate that display tomorrow.

He said: “I like it when people are on your back.

“I think it gets the best out of me, I thrive off those situations and hopefully we’ll come back with three points.

“Sunderland was one with a big crowd and I like playing in front of them.

“It gives me that extra bit of motivation.”

He added: “It’s a massive game, another must-win I’d say against a team in the same part of the table.”
