MARK Harrington won the fifth round of the Angling Trust Oxford Winter League on a cold but clear Kennet and Avon Canal.
The Sensas A4 angler drew top end peg and had mainly skimmer bream on maggot over groundbait at 8m for a winning weight of 17lb 12oz 0drms.
Tony Hobbs, of Drennan Oxford, was second with 12.12.0, teammate Gary Barclay (8.10.0) in third.
In the league standings, Drennan clinched a fifth successive victory.

North Oxford Angling Society hosted a three-way match between themselves, Kidlington AS and Masons AS on the River Cherwell.
Clear water and cold temperatures resulted in disappointing catches, the host club’s Steve Tompkins seeing off 18 rivals to take victory with a winning weight of 2.3.8.
Ron Hillier (Kidlington) was second with 1.11.0, while Dave Pether (Masons) was back in third with 1.1.0.
Yarnton and District AC fished Home Farm at Napton in Warwickshire for the penultimate round of their Winter League.
Jamie Godfrey emerged the winner on the day weighing 41.12.0, beating David Kingerlee (34.5.0) and Harry Oliver (30.5.0)
Going in to the last round on December 16, just two points separate the top three, with Godfrey and Steve Johnson just two points ahead of Oliver.
