European PGA Tour member Matt Wallace has had a strong start to the 2019 golf season earning over €427,000 from five events. It has the Englishman in the top five money winners ranking on this season’s tour as the majors get ready to tee off in April. Wallace had a strong 2018 golf season finishing 10th on the European Tour having played in 30 events and earning almost €3 million in prize money. It wasn’t long ago that Wallace was planning for another career. Six years ago, Wallace applied to work for management companies, but none of them offered him a job. Never Standing Still

The Future is Bright
Wallace will play in his first Masters tournament in April. It is the only one of the four majors he hasn’t previously experienced. Wallace played in the 2017 and 2018 US Open, but he failed to make the cut both times. He also failed to make the cut at the 2018 Open Championship. Wallace’s majors breakthrough came at the PGA Championship last summer – at the time the fourth major of the season. He finished tied for 19th exceeding expectations.
