OLIVER Butler enjoyed a profitable Milton Keynes Under 15 Gold tournament.

The Oxfordshire player reached the final of the Gold Star singles, before taking gold in the doubles and bronze in the mixed.

At the same event, Adam Burden won the singles in the Gold event – his first major win at this level.

Elsewhere, Clement Jin triumphed in the singles at the Milton Keynes Under 13 Bronze tournament and also won a bronze in the boys doubles with fellow Oxfordshire player, Ryan Tao.

Also in the medals were Joshua Peverall and Andrew Norkett, who reached their first doubles final at the Middlesex Under 17 bronze event, but had to settle for silver.

Oxfordshire’s under 20 team of Natalia Mitchell, Maisie Boyd, Maisie Marriott, Bronwynn Ready, Jamie Cackett, James Moreton-Smith, Luke Backley and Isaac Woods were beaten 16-4 by Nottinghamshire.

And in a friendly, an Oxon under 14 side containing players who don’t usually represent the county lost 9-7 to Hampshire.
