HENLEY Hawks maintained their promotion challenge when beating Bimingham & Solihull 31-22 at home.
Luke Allen’s side stay third and four points behind Canterbury, who occupy National League 2 South’s only play-off place, with five games to go.
Dan Barnes’s interception try, Ben Bolster converting, put Hawks 7-0 ahead.
The visitors hit back to lead by three points, but Henley responded to make it 17-10 at half-time, with Tom Hall and Sam Lunnon going over.
Birmingham levelled the clash at 17-17 early in the second half.
But Hawks made it 24-17 after 66 minutes when George Griffiths gathered a Barnes kick to dive over, Bolster adding the extras.
The visitors, once again, responded to close within two points with seven minutes to go.
But Liam O’Neill’s 76th-minute try made sure of the win for Henley, Bolster converting.
In National League 1, Chinnor were hammered 41-7 at home by struggling Birmingham Moseley.
The hosts took a second-minute lead, Craig Holland crossing and Caolan Ryan converting.

But that was as good as it got for Chinnor, who were unable to handle the visiting pack, while they lost Greg King and Josh Hodson to injury.
Tries from Louis Roach and Aedan Maloney saw Moseley lead 10-7 at the break.
The visitors took full control in the second half, courtesy of scores from Maloney (2), Sam Hollingsworth, Laurence Cowen and a penalty try.
