OXFORD have been handed a free ticket into this Saturday’s Oxfordshire Shield final against Oxford University Whippets.
John Brodley’s side were due to play Chipping Norton in the last four, but the west Oxfordshire club conceded the tie.
The walkover was down to a lack of players after their recent run to the south west division final of the RFU Junior Vase.
It means there have been three concessions in the year’s competition after Oxford Brookes University 2nd were given a free passage into the first round and Chippy into the semi-final.
Saturday’s final kicks off at 2pm.
