OLLY Rees has been named Oxford Harlequins captain for next season.
The forward takes over the armband at the South West 1 East club from James Stacey.
Rees has been with Quins since the age of 17, progressing through the ranks to establish himself as a first-team player.
The back-row forward is excited to take on the role.
He told the club: “I am absolutely buzzing about this opportunity and am honoured to be leading such a talented bunch.
“A tenth place finish is not a reflection of the squad we have and I am positive we can really kick on next season.”
Head coach Andy Boyle added: “He is a natural leader and I am over the moon that he will be captaining the boys next season.
“He shares the club's ambition and literally cannot wait to get started.”
