KIDLINGTON Football Club and Cowley Workers A maintained their 100 per cent records in Section 2.

Kidlington had to come from behind at home in their Cowley Workers ODDA clash.

Having led through Pete Smith, Queens Head hit back through Matty Blay and Dan Pratley.

But the hosts replied with wins from Mick Richardson, Rob Smith and Steve Baker, before a 2-1 pairs success wrapped up a 6-3 victory.

Also on three wins out of three are Cowley Workers A.

Again they did not have it all their own way, slipping 3-1 down at Red Lion.

The hosts struck through Tony Wheeler, Gus Green and Steve McConnay.

But Darren Spiers and Darren Allen levelled for the visitors and a 2-1 victory in the pairs saw them finish 5-4 up.

Catherine Wheel won by the same scoreline at Cricketers Arms B.

The visitors led 4-0 through Butch Bowers, Tim Sparrowhawk, Michael Ashburner and Sean Ashburner.

John Kearney and Karl Smith got the Cricketers back into the match, but despite also taking the pairs 2-1 they fell just short.

Red Lion Cassington got their first win of the Ladies’ Section 1 season in style.

Caroline Caldicutt, Carol Rouse and Ali Bateman got them off to a flier, but visitors Bletchingdon Social Club cut the lead with wins for Amy Holley and Tracy Cormack.

The Lions responded through Pauline Newman and a 3-0 pairs success sealed a 7-2 thrashing.
