DEFENDING champion Mark Trafford booked his place in the final of the Oxford & District League men’s individual competition, writes PETE EWINS.
The Oracle player beat Allan Lacey on aggregate and will face Berinsfield’s Adam Ingram, who beat teammate Phil McFarland 2-0.
Trafford hit superb form at Masons, scoring 20,050, including a break of 19,950, to win the first leg.
Lacey replied to win the second 6,420-2,270, but it was not enough to earn an aggregate victory.
Ingram will make his first appearance in the final when seeing off McFarland
7,800-5,640.
Meanwhile, Alan Lowe reached the Premier Individuals final when recording an aggregate win over Pauline Withey.
He will be up against Ian Gordon, who beat Dave Rose 2-0 – 13,890-2,300, including a 7,360 break in the second leg.
Mike Jones and defending champion John Patey face off in the Pat Webber Cup final.
Jones beat Ian Moss 2-0 (11,930-6,320) in the last four.
The Oxford Bar Billiards Association are holding their annual finals and presentation night on Saturday at Gladiators Club.
