OXFORD United are closing in on the signing of former Charlton Athletic winger Tariqe Fosu.
The 23-year-old announced on Instagram last night he was leaving the Addicks.
And the Oxford Mail understands Fosu is on the verge of joining United, where he would be reunited with Karl Robinson, who signed the former Reading trainee during his time as Addicks manager.
Charlton, who won promotion to the Championship last season, offered the wide man a new deal, but it is believed that was done purely to ensure they receive a fee.
Fosu scored 11 goals in 65 games for the Addicks, including netting against Oxford in the side’s 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium in October 2017.
He also spent time on loan at Fleetwood Town, Accrington Stanley and Colchester United before joining Charlton for an undisclosed fee two years ago.
