BLACKPOOL sit top of the fledgling Sky Bet League One table ahead of their meeting with Oxford United after impressive victories against Bristol Rovers and Southend United.
These players will be keen to help the Tangerines extend their 100 per cent record in the league – especially after a shock Carabao Cup exit to Macclesfield Town on penalties in midweek.
CURTIS TILT
The defender is in his third season at Bloomfield Road and has become a mainstay in the Blackpool back line.
Tilt put in an assured performance during his side’s 3-1 win at Southend last Saturday and already appears to have struck up a partnership with new signing Ryan Edwards.
They form Blackpool’s back three alongside Ollie Turton, and have conceded just one league goal so far this season.
SULLAY KAIKAI
Aged just 23, the winger is already with his eighth club and was previously playing for Dutch side NAC Breda.
Despite his talent, Kaikai has had a mixed career, but he already seems to have settled in at Bloomfield Road.
He was particularly impressive in the victory at Southend, setting up Nathan Delfouneso’s first goal after 12 minutes and hitting the post in the second period.
NATHAN DELFOUNESO
The ex-Aston Villa striker was the pick of the bunch at Roots Hall, with his
first-half double sealing the points for Simon Grayson’s side.
Delfouneso’s goals displayed his versatility, as he showed great pace and a clinical finish to beat Southend keeper Mark Oxley for his opener.
He reacted quickly in a goalmouth scramble to net the Tangerines’ third and will be raring to go against United after he was rested for the first hour of the Macclesfield defeat.
