ELLIOTT Moore will miss out on Oxford United’s visit to Bolton Wanderers tonight – along with an unnamed player who has picked up a knock.

Head coach Karl Robinson was hoping to name an unchanged XI from Saturday’s 3-0 victory against Tranmere Rovers.

An injury has disrupted those plans, although the U’s boss was keeping the identity a secret yesterday.

He said: “One player won’t make it, but we want to keep it as close to the starting team from the other day.”

Moore was on the teamsheet but withdrew before kick-off after suffering a back spasm.

It has now settled down, but United have decided a 350-mile round trip and overnight stay would do him no good.

Robinson said: “If you really forced it you could push him in the squad, but when you have a nerve problem you just want to take your time with that.

“It won’t help sitting on a coach for five hours, so we feel it’s better he doesn’t travel.”

Shandon Baptiste did not train yesterday due to a minor knee issue sustained late on Saturday, but the midfielder is expected to be in the squad tonight.

Following frantic strengthening after a takeover last month, Bolton handed out six debuts on Saturday.

The new faces include ex-United skipper Jake Wright and despite a 6-1 defeat at Rotherham United, new boss Keith Hill is unlikely to make many changes.
