Radley secured promotion to Division 1 West of the National Young Athletes League after a crushing victory in their final meeting of the season at Abingdon's Tilsley Park.

They finished a massive 134.5 points ahead of Bicester & Banbury, recording 29 personal bests and one club record along the way.

The club record fell in the under 17 boys' 200m, Andrew Potter winning with a time of 23.3secs.

His teammate, David Cole, gained a personal best in the same event, clocking 24.6, and also picked up a pb in the long jump (5.07m).

In the under 15 boys' category, Jordan Dorrian sailed out to a best of 5.31m in the long jump, while Joe Bibby clocked 25.3 in the 200m.

Keiran Webb produced a personal best of 1min 12.7secs in the 400m, and Alex Sunderland threw 27.89m in the discus.

In the B string event, Thomas Welsh threw 18.80m.

The highlight of the day in the girls' section came in the under 15 age group.

Susan Keet clocked 12.4 in the 75m hurdles, and also gained a personal best of 26.8 in the 200m.

Kim Sutherland clocked 27.5 in the same event, while Emma O'Hara threw 9.55m in the shot.

In the under 13 age group, Lois Waknell gained a double best in the 150m (21.1) and long jump (4.09).

She also won her 75m with a time of 11.1.

Georgina Sunderland came away with three victories.

She clocked 11.3 in the 75m, before leaping 3.83m in the long jump and running 13.0 in the 70m hurdles.

Under 17 Jennifer Sutherland clocked 5.17.1 in the 1500m, while Becky Sunderland produced a personal best of 14.5 in the 80m hurdles.

Oxford City pulled out all the stops to avoid relegation from Division 1 South with a magnificent victory in their final meeting of the season in Bournemouth.

Going into the match, City were staring relegation in the face, with the team knowing they had to win to avoid the drop.

And they produced a terrific all-round display to amass 376 points.

The highlight of the day was in the under 17 women's 4x300m relay, where City clocked 2.59.0 to break the club record by six seconds.

The team consisted of Rebecca Hussey, Kirsty Warland, Danielle Anderson and Melissa Hawtin.

Elsewhere, Ollie Wingfield gained three valuable points in the under 15 boys' pole vault with a clearance of 2.10m, while Andrew Busby claimed maximum points in the A string high jump, clearing 1.60m.

Six points were gained by 3,000m novices Leah O'Callaghan and Claris Knighton.

Rebecca Littlewood took part in three throwing events, gaining a further nine points for the team.
