Oxford City’s Hannah England faces a nervous wait to see if she is in the Great Britain team for the World Championships in Berlin after finishing fourth in the 1500m at the Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The British team for the championships from August 13-23 will be announced on Monday.

Before Saturday’s race, Charlene Thomas who won the trials in Birmingham had secured selection leaving Lisa Dobriskey, Steph Twell and England to fight for the last three places.

The race resulted in an American one-two for Anna Willard (4mins 7.95 secs) and Shannon Rowberry.

Dobriskey was third in 4.08.27 with England fourth in 4.08.38.

England made a move with 200 metres to go, but was just pipped by Dobriskey.
