Abingdon knocked VT FC off the top of the Division 1 South & West table thanks to a first-half goal from James Faulkner.
Ironically for the division’s two leading scorers, chances were at at a premium.
The only goal came when Justin Merritt sent a long ball for Faulkner to squeeze his shot between the base of a post and the keeper.

It then needed two superb saves from keeper Jon Beames to keep Abingdon in front as VT pressurised strongly in the second half.
