Wallingford coach Chris Norrington was left frustrated by their display against Swanage – although he did not fault his players’ effort.

He said: “I don’t take defeat very easily, but you can’t get away with too much in this league. You have got to be at your best.

“Even if we had won the game, I would not have been happy.

“There was no fluidity and we couldn’t go through two phases.

“Swanage are very good at the catch-and-drive. We knew it was coming, but we still couldn’t do enough to stop it.

“When we moved the ball wide, we looked a class apart.”
