Banbury & District recorded an excellent 1-0 win at Luton in the English Schools’ FA Under 15 Trophy second round.
Oxford City bowed out with a 1-0 defeat against Islington & Camden at St Aloysius College in round one.
Vale of White Horse take on Barnet in the second round at Milton United next Tuesday (7.30pm), while Mid Oxon are away to Wellingborough & Rushden on a date to be arranged.
Vale opened their season with a 4-1 win against Mid Oxon in a friendly at Chipping Norton.
Sam Short opened the scoring and Christian Evans increased Vale’s lead before half-time.
Mid Oxon pulled one back, but late goals from Chris Da Silva and Jonny Adams secured Vale`’s win.
