OXFORD United are hoping to break their Salisbury hoodoo today, and win at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium for the first time.

They were beaten 3-1 there two seasons ago, and 2-1 on Boxing Day last year.

Said Wilder: “We may change the team from the one we were looking to play against Rushden because at this time of year, it’s horses for courses.

“My players were geared up to play on Saturday, and they were raring to go, and it will be the same at Salisbury.

“The standard of play in training over the last week has been first class, and everyone has looked sharp.

“I know that’s no guarantee that you then get that in a match situation, but it has, nevertheless, been encouraging.

“We had a chat with the players on Christmas Day and said we’ve put ourselves in a great position, and we’re going to be positive in what we do.

“We’re really going to go for it. Sometimes things might not work out, but that’s going to be our approach.”
