Former Oxford City boss Paul Lee has been named the new manager of Hellenic League side Kidlington.

He takes over from Kevin Walton, who stepped down at the end of last season following their relegation from the Premier Division.

Lee has brought in Kelvin Alexis as coach and Chris Perkins as physio.

Alexis, a UEFA A Class coach, was part of Lee's management team at City as was Perkins.

Kidlington will start training for the new season on Tuesday, July 11 at their Yarnton Road ground (7pm).

Oxford City manager Andy Lyne has spoken of his delight after player-assistant manager Justin Merritt signed a new deal with the newly-promoted Southern League Division 1 South & West side.

"Justin is a great asset and he did a tremendous job for me and the club last season, both on and off the field," said City boss Andy Lyne.

"I am delighted that he has decided to stay."

Lyne said Merritt would be reducing his coaching responsibilities to concentrate on playing.

He added that they were looking to bring in someone to help on the coaching side.

Meanwhile, City will host Oxford United at Court Place Farm on July 22 in the first of their pre-season friendlies.

On July 29, they take on Bishop Auckland in the FA Amateur Cup Centenary match. They host AFC Wallingford on August 3 in the Robin Antonowicz Memorial match.

Meanwhile, City's Southern League campaign begins on August 19.
