OCA League Divisions 5-11

WATLINGTON 2nd’s Mark Dodd took five wickets in two overs without conceding a run, but still finished on the losing side as Sunningwell 2nd won by 31 runs in Division 10.

Battng first, Sunningwell were bowled out for 95, Dodd cleaning up the tail with figures of 5-0!

But Watlington could not chase down the meagre target as they crashed to 64 all out in reply, Tom Harris the pick of the bowlers with 4-23.

Matthew Wilson took 6-25 to help Deddington 2nd to a 52-run win against Chipping Norton 2nd.

Deddington posted 110-9, before Wilson took control.

Nick Worrall claimed a hat-trick in figures of 3-12 to wrap up victory.

In Division 5, Wantage marched on at the top with a 77-run win over Brill.

Colin Mercer was one run short of a century as he finished on 99 not out in Wantage’s 243-5.

Barry Martin then took 5-73 as Brill fell to 166 all out.

Adrian Redhead starred with bat and ball as Dorchester saw off Garsington 2nd by six wickets in Division 6.

Redhead claimed 3-45 as Garsington were bowled out for 171, before hitting 75 not out to steer his side to 175-4.

Kilkenny’s David Berkon bagged 5-44 as his side beat Stanton Harcourt by seven wickets.

Berkon’s haul helped to dismiss the home side for 163, then Duncan Macdonald (72) made light work of the target as Kilkenny reached 166-3.

Dan Hopkins hit 119 not out to see Westbury 2nd to a 143-run win over Hook Norton in Division 7.

Westbury rattled up 232-6, and Hooky slumped to 89 all out in reply.

A second-wicket stand of 151 between Rakesh Nambiar (91no) and Martin Kalyan (76) helped Risinghurst to a seven-wicket win over Tetsworth 2nd.

Tetsworth scored 202-8, Earl Richardson hitting 66 not out.

Risinghurst replied with 203-3 as Nambiar and Kalyan shone.

In Division 9, Jason Briggs slammed 125 for East & West Hendred 2nd, but Chesterton 2nd were saved by the rain.

Hendred posted 213 all out, and Chesterton were on the brink of defeat at 142-9 when the heavens opened.

Umar Ishaq claimed 6-17 as East Oxford 3rd beat Minster Lovell 3rd by 94 runs.

East Oxford posted 211-9, Umar hitting 50 not out, before Minster fell to 117 all out in reply.
